How Your Salary Is Calculated

SahodPH starts with your monthly income, applies standard employee contributions and estimated withholding tax, then shows what may remain for take-home pay.

Gross salary

Gross salary is your total monthly income before deductions. It can include basic salary, taxable allowances, non-taxable allowances, overtime, night differential, and bonuses or incentives.

SSS contribution

The calculator estimates your employee share of the Social Security System contribution using the applicable salary credit limits and contribution schedule.

PhilHealth contribution

PhilHealth is estimated from the applicable premium rate and income floor and ceiling, with the employee share shown as a monthly deduction.

Pag-IBIG contribution

The Pag-IBIG amount represents the estimated employee contribution based on the applicable compensation tier and contribution cap.

Taxable income

Taxable income includes the earnings entered as taxable and excludes allowances marked non-taxable. Mandatory employee contributions are then considered before estimating withholding tax.

Withholding tax

Withholding tax is an estimate based on the applicable Philippine income-tax brackets for monthly compensation. Your employer’s payroll calculation may use additional details.

Estimated take-home pay

Estimated take-home pay is your gross monthly income less government contributions and estimated withholding tax.

Disclaimer: This calculator provides an estimate for informational purposes only. Actual payroll deductions may vary depending on your employment situation, payroll policies, benefits, exemptions, and applicable government rules.
